Make sure the skin is clean, dry, and free of lotions or oils before the session. Exfoliating the area gently beforehand can help the stain adhere better.
Avoid water on your henna design for at least 8 hours after application. Let the paste stay on for 4-10 hours, then remove it gently with oil. You can apply a sealant (lemon & sugar) after your paste is dry to help to darken the stain. For jagua, let the gel dry completely, and wash off gently after approximately 4 hours with soap and warm water. (avoid scrubbing the area)
